How To Purchase Your Own Custom Cookie Cutter From Cookiecad
So you want to create your own cookie cutter? Great! You have come to the right place. Here at Cookiecad, we are always trying to make your purchasing experience as simple as possible. With that in mind, we have created this how-to guide to designing and purchasing your own cookie cutter.
So let’s get started...
First thing you need is your digital design. You can create your own designs by making a sketch on a piece of paper and taking a of it, or you can search for images online that allow for commercial use. (Pixabay.com is a great site for finding free images). Designs that work best are line art images with sharp, clear edges on light backgrounds. For example:
The file type that works best is .png but most image files like .jpg and .bmp work most of the time. There are a few ways to turn your cookie cutter idea into a digital design.
Once you have your file, you need to go to our home page which, as you are here, hopefully you have already done, but if not here’s the link www.cookiecad.com
Once you are on the home page you should scroll down until you see this part of the page :
As you can see, this page gives you the option to select a pre-designed shape or upload an image of your own. If you want to use one of the pre-designed shapes simply click on your desired shape. If you wish to add your own image simply click in the box where it says “ Click here or drag files to upload”. Once you have done this you will be able to choose an image from your computer.
Once you have added your desired design to the box you will be provided with a sample image of what your cutter will look like. You can click and drag the image to rotate it and check it out from all sides.
You can then choose the size you would like the cutter to be by clicking on one of the size options listed. You are also provided with the ability to add your own custom size, between 1 and 5 inches. For this option make sure to click the “custom” button and type in your size. Make sure to type it with a decimal like 2.25 and not 2 ¼.

We also provide you with the ability to add an interior design or smaller image within the main design. You can add an interior design by clicking the imprint option beside the interior design features tab. It is important to remember that interior imprint is only available if your original uploaded image consisted of internal images.

Once you are happy with your preview image, you’ve chosen the size you like and have decided on the interior feature, click the add to cart button to purchase your cookie cutter.
Once you have clicked “add to cart” you will get a pop up requesting that you review your order before moving on. If all the details look correct, click “add to cart” located within the pop-up box. If you need to make any changes simply click the small x in the top right corner of the pop-up box, make your alterations and then continue the process again.
You will then be directed to the above page outlining what it is you are purchasing and the cost. At this point you have the option to change the quantity of that same cutter, add another size of the same cutter, or continue shopping to work on a new design. You can also shop for cookie cutters designed by our talented artists by clicking "Shop All Products" at the top of the site. You can add those to your cart at the same time and check out all together. All you need to do in order to receive your new cookie cutter from us is click checkout, fill in your payment details and delivery address, choose your shipping option and your cookie cutter will ship in 1-2 business days.
